Hi there I’m Joshua Radford,

I’m an actor, writer, filmmaker based in NYC where I’ve trained with Seth Barrish & Lee Brock at The Barrow Group and UCB for Improv. I aim to bring an empathetic and collaborative approach to storytelling, always allowing room for spontaneity.

I’m also a high volume cocktail bartender and love to explore the culinary scene here in NY.

I grew up in Rochester, NY playing a lot of baseball and making funny movies with my friends. In college at SUNY Fredoina I immersed myself in Film & Theatre.

Recently I wrote, directed and co-starred in a short film called RELATIONSHIRT. It enjoyed a super exciting Festival run! Even receiving a nomination for Best Short Screenplay at FilmQuest, 2022.

Our LA premiere was at The Pasadena Film Festival in 2023! And our NYC Premiere was held at the Chelsea Film Festival, in 2022.

That same cycle I had a contrasting performance, in the gritty sci-fi/drama CHIMERA. Which you can now watch on DUST.

Overall my time in NYC has been focused on collaborating with early-career filmmakers and honing my audition skills at workshops like the BK Gang (Bob Krakower) and One on One.

In my free time I like to write, direct and edits sketch comedy as part of the comedy duo JoshMatty. Our sketch “The Penetron Ordeal” Won Best Micro Short at the Austin Comedy Film Festival. I also appear in sketches for the popular Youtube-Channel HatchedNYC.

Other credits include the comedic short, CRAB SPECIAL which toured the 2019 festival circuit. THE MISUNDERSTANDING has been featured on FUNNY OR DIE. And my 1st supporting role in a feature, DEREK IS FUNNY, is available on Amazon Prime.
